Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information PerformPlay collects, how it's used, and the choices available to you. PerformPlay is a team-management tool for youth baseball coaches and organizers.

Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address, a username, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Team, roster, and player information. Coaches and team owners (adult account holders) enter information about the teams they manage, including player names, jersey numbers, birth dates, and performance ratings. This information is entered and controlled by the adult account holder, not by the players themselves — players and guardians do not create their own PerformPlay accounts unless separately invited as a subuser.

Usage information. We log basic technical information (IP address, login timestamps, and success/failure of authentication attempts) to keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.

Children's information

PerformPlay is intended for use by adult coaches, team managers, and organizers. Roster data about minor players is entered by the adult account holder for the purpose of managing that team, not collected directly from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about information entered about a player, please contact the team's owner directly, or reach out to us using the contact details below and we will assist.

How we use information

• To operate the core features of the app — rosters, lineups, fielding assignments, scoring, and statistics.
• To send account-related emails: registration confirmation, password resets, team invites, and notices about your subscription plan.
• To maintain the security of the service, including detecting and limiting abusive or automated access.

We do not sell your information or a player's information to third parties.

Data retention and deletion

You can export a copy of your own account's data, or delete your account, at any time from your Profile page. Deleting an owner account deactivates it and preserves your teams/games/players for historical continuity rather than immediately erasing them; contact us if you'd like your historical data permanently and completely removed.

Cookies and sessions

PerformPlay uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is required for the app to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
